clouds

I think I walked into a cloud of doubt and

can't seem to shake it.

The only way I seem to be able to get a creative fix is with my digis.

My paints and canvases make me anxious.

Even paper and glue.

I hate doubt.

I hope it goes away soon.

Somedays are just moody - but they always pass.
Especially when a new project idea calls to us and challenges us into action.

Hugs,
Penny

we all have days like that, just breathe and closed your eyes... listen to your heart and you will clear out the doubt... like the sun coming out from the clouds..

I feel that way some times, but it does pass. I'm not sure what it takes to make it go away but I do know that if I just stay busy, things will eventually be better.

Sympathy and hugs! Jeanie

Maybe you are about to break through to a new level of your heart and soul coming through in your art. Do you ever art journal? I like to do that because I can feel the textures of creating without pressure of any results. And often even though not always beautiful, they are always telling. Just because our art isn't perfect every time, and whose really is... that doesn't mean that we are less artists, or that we are less beautiful.
You are beautiful and thanks for sharing.

Thank you everyone. I know we all go through these down spots on our creative journey. I think working on my collage and posting this helped to snap me out of it a little.

Jill, I am picking up journaling again after putting it down for nearly a year. I think this will be a good place to start.

Thank you for all your lovely words :)

Have you heard that saying...Feel the fear, and do it anyway? I think just diving in will lift the cloud...your hands will know what your heart wants to say...just tell your head to take an intermission...haha ;P

You have no reason to doubt yourself :)

We've all crossed over that sea of doubt...It's been 5 days since I've played in my art. It's hard to get back...I am hoping for better days for you and me.
It's hard to get back to cold weather too. After 5 days of 86 degree weather...It is 35 now, but is good to be home. For some odd reason the sun didn't follow.

Hope your creative side returns and I love the photos.

Your art is beautiful, Anna. And I hope you get your creative muse back. We all go through it - I just recently got my "fire" back. Your digital piece here is heartbreakingly lovely. Be well! Theresa

Hello, Anna
To have your images 'held hostage' on your blog probably didn't help your creative muse either.
My Down's son will help me relax at times and he will look at me and slowly raise both of his arms in yoga stance, and then he will take a deep breath and then exhale and slowly lower his arms and say 'Relax...' The first time he did it I couldn't help but lighten up and relax.
All I can say is, be who you want to be, and create from your heart. I have been following your blog for a few months so I know some of the things you have been through. Hang in there, girl! There are many of us who think the world of your creativity and many of us love the same theme of things...the sky is the limit!

You already know that I think you are just about the most creative talented person I know ... so I will simply say that this, too, shall pass. One day at a time. Don't beat yourself up, and allow your spirit the time to rest. And when it is ready, it will pick up right where you left off. I have clouds often in my creative soul, and sometimes I need to just let them do there thing (they are there for a purpose, you know.) Thinking of you, always, and still think you are the next best thing to sliced bread!!!
