up all night

I am a night owl. Given the choice I would stay up all night working on art. I love the peace and quiet, not just in my house but also in the world just outside of me.

And I love the night sky.

My husband has to go to bed early for work so he often wonders what I do in the wee hours of the morning. If I'm not working on art I'm on the computer, or both. I'm sure he thinks I'm carrying on who knows what with who knows who.

"What do you do up all night?"

Sound familiar?

So for all of you night owls out there I dedicate my latest painting.
Now when my husband wonders what I'm doing I have an answer...

I fly around the night sky with my pink balloon of course!
I play hide and seek with the moon and tell her all my secrets.
I grab a handful of stardust to use for my art.
Then I fly back home and sneak in the house just in time for toast.

And I know I've seen some of you out there flying around
with your own pink balloon ;)

And I thought I was the only one!! Went to bed at 4.45am this morning. I was crafting a small suitcase but the instructions were totally naf. It took me ages to see what I should have been doing. Like you find the early hours of the morning very quiet and peaceful until the birds start their dawn chorus that is!!!!!

Oh how I wish I could spend more of my night awake and creative! I too love the night sky and the peace and quiet that can only be found in the wee hours. Unfortunately, for now at least, the day job means I'm usually asleep before the rest of the household.

I love the painting, it's so whimsical and peaceful at the same time!

Love your header, love this piece with the pink balloon, love your spirit!!! I think I need to visit you more often - with the hopes that some of that stardust will fall my way!!! LOVE this post!! Unfortunately, I too must go to bed to rise early for work. But if the day ever comes that I can play in the night, I will join you with my own pink balloon. ;-)

There is magic in those wee hours, is there not?! I go to bed most nights between 2 and 3 am....after a dissapproving grumble from the other side of the bed, I slip under the covers happy from all the playing I have just done :)

Shall I meet you on a moonbeam tonight? :D
