sweet insanity

The words of Ron Weaseley comes to mind right now.
"Can we panic now?"

Yikes! Are you madly snapping pictures of skeletons and cotton candy? Or maybe pulling your hair out trying to figure out how to make dead folliage in 99 degree heat look like the haunted woods?

I think this is the most last minute I have ever been for my own blog party but I know it will somehow all come together in the end. My house looks like an orange and black bomb went off in it and my poor Luna kitty doesn't know what to do.

I've been running off this the last few days since I can't have caffeine so I apologize in advance if my party post ends up looking like a sugary haze.

I had to run out to the backyard early this morning to take a few pics before the sun melts everything again. We are in the middle of a heatwave which makes it a challenge to stay in autumn mode. It was 101 here yesterday. On the 1st of October.

I realized when I was out in my yard how much I miss not having my sweet LaLou to help out this year. I think she really liked watching me set up my parties and she loved checking out all my crazy props.

I loved having her around for my Witches Teas. Miss that little girl.

So back I go to do more carnivaling and hair pulling. Maybe I'll go visit Marfi first and see what kind of sweets she has to keep her going. See you VERY SOON!

Hee Hee Halloween Haribos have kept me going today!!! Ive just finished my colouring in for my party and am hoping for a dry day tomorrow to go out to the woods to take my pics.

I can totally relate regarding the heat! This time last year I was baking pies...the house had been decorated for a month....and I was thoroughly enjoying my favorite Season...

This year, I haven't done a thing....still waiting for it to feel more Fall-like!

What a pretty assistant, Lalou was, too :)

I just replenished my stock of candy corn. Love that stuff! I'm only doing one party this month as I knew I didn't have the energy for more. But I also just signed up for an online art class and am trying to get ready for another workshop I'm attending at the end of the month. So much to do!

I'm sure it will be grand anyhow, Anna. I started working on mine from day one and did little bits here and there, but at one point I had no clue how I'd follow through on my opening post which was so spontaneous...teehee.

Now, NO CAFFEINE?!? I feel for ya. I had to water my HALF cup a day down but still holding on to that little bit like if I was hanging from a cliff. ;)
Candy corn it is!!
XOXO's,
Marcia

I know what you are talking about...I have been running back and forth across the road to my "haunted woods" to snap pictures for the carnival....I am fairly new to my neighborhood so I am pretty sure the neighbors I don't know think I am a nut.I have been carrying my crystal ball and other carnival surprises across the road now for two weeks.....haha makes me giggle to think of their convos about me.Anyways I am counting down the days to visit everyones carnival:)

Those andy corn look so good and I love the sweet picture of your cat, so beautiful.
Here in The Netherlands we just decorate our home. My family clebrates Halloween, but most Dutch people don't. We just have a cozy family evening with watching a nice spooky movie and having a family dinner and remembering those who have gone before us. I am just finished decorating ; )

Well...I've gone through 2 bags of candy corn and I still need to decorate more. I have a few alters up and more to go. Our heat has left us and fall is here, although it was 70 yesterday. The smells of fall is in the air and the trees are really beautiful. I will post them this weekend. There are amazing Halloween things in the stores. One great place to go is the dollar store.

It's a small world that we are both Sactown Gals. You are one of my favorite blogs and was so excited to discover this. Please do keep me on the participant list for the carnival.

LOL! Anna, I have been the same way and also trying to juggle swaps. Talk about overextended. But to be honest, I wouldn't have missed it for anything. Can't wait to see your carnival tomorrow. ;-)
