what are you watching?

I have been watching way too much TV lately. It's not something I normally do a lot but we have actually been watching a couple of shows together as a family. Big change from how it used to be which was my son and I watching one thing and my husband either away in another room watching something else or just somewhere else all together. He's really trying hard now.

So last week we decided to check out Alcatraz and caught up on all the episodes. And we also decided to check out Grimm. Now we're addicted to both. Plus I've been watching Once Upon A Time since it started last October. I'm still trying to figure out which fairy tale character the mysterious writer is suppose to be.

Anyone else follow these shows? What are you watching out there? What cancelled show do you really miss? One of the episodes of Grimm had Jamie Ray Newman who was on Eastwick about a year ago. You know I really liked that show. It was an updated version of the movie (and book by John Updike) The Witches of Eastwick. But it was cancelled after about 12 or so episodes. I still keep hoping they would bring it back. Don't you hate it when you get hooked on a new show and it gets cancelled before it even has a chance to really develop? Drives me nuts sometimes.

That's it for a quickie post today. I hope you had a lovely Valentines day.

Have a great weekend.

P.S. Ricki Jill's comment made me think of guilty pleasure shows I like too. This season it's The Voice and I just discovered a show on Animal Planet called My Cat From Hell. It's like a kitty version of Dog Whisperer. Thank goodness I've never had a cat with problems like those!

I'm watching these too -- well, need to catch up with Grimm. Otherwise, I usually watch Fringe.
Several FAVS cancelled, but can't even remember the names now. The last one I really got hooked on was 'The Gates', Sundays on ABC.
Only ran from Jun-Sept 2010

We miss a lot of tv shows b/c we're usually watching anime so we play catch-up on Hulu. Right now we're watching:
Alcatraz
Grimm
The New Girl
The Finder
Castle
House
Battlestar Galatia
MisFits (watched all 3 seasons now waiting for the 4th)
Dr. Who

Hmmm...I think those are the main ones =D

I only watch TV when I am on the elliptical, so I do watch Once Upon a Time on occasion. I have no idea about the writer....

My husband's guilty pleasure is The Bachelor. He never misses it! And my guilty pleasure is The Glam Fairy. Don't judge me ;P I do manage to read at least one book per week....

There are a few shows that we all watch together...Older shows like Mash is a good one. I really like Grim, House and CSI. We watch National Geographic channel and a few educational shows too. Lately there has been nothing on..actually there are too many channels with nothing on. I've decided that tv is good background noise for doing things around the house. Thanks for this great post.

I love both Grimm and Once Upon a Time. I am working on some pieces for my etsy shop that will have the fairy tale theme. I have always loved the stories and these shows, both in their own way, are so unique. I only have basic cable, so I don't get Animal Channel and other similar channels. My husband got interested in both Grimm and Once Upon a Time (how cute) and we especially like to follow the story line in OUAT.

I'm not watching anything at the moment. I was watching "Secret Circle" but when we moved we weren't allowed to have our satalite dish because this is a concervation area, and we haven't had a chance to get a freeview box (plus, I don't think the channel it's on is available on freeview). I was watching it on a website I found (don't remember the name of the site right now) but since I can't navigate it myself and have to wait for my hubby to watch it it got frustrating so I stopped bothering and decided to just hope they bring it out on DVD. Most things end up on DVD eventually.

Anna, I LOVE Once Upon a Time! I have not seen those other shows, though I have heard of Grimm but haven't checked it out, but Once Upon a Time is my obsession right now! Oh I love it sooooo much! I know I have no idea who the writer is! Is he Grimm? You know...the person who wrote all of those fairy tales? That's what my mom and I think. We'll see...

I love your blog outlook by the way! I just love how you renovate it according to the season. It makes my heart sing with joy just looking at your beautiful blog!

Thank you for the lovely post,
Jessica

I'm really addicted to Once Upon a Time. That - along with New Girl - is my favorite new show. I also enjoy Grimm - although it's been getting a bit too gory lately (I'm a big ole wimp!). LOL My hubby and I watch a lot of shows together - right now we're watching Worst Cooks in America! :)

I love Grimm and Once Upon a Time. I have missed them both the last couple of weeks but I can catch up On Demand. New Girl and Raising Hope are two other faves but the one show I really really really wish they would bring back is Ghost Whisperer!

I love Once Upon a Time. We have been wracking our brains about the writer too. We had the thought that he was the author of the book as well. I hope we find out soon.
