But I mentioned before that we're having a milder than usual season this year and that's added to my ever growing anticipation for Autumn. Maybe it's our Practical Magic Fall Blog Party. I've been brewing up all sorts of ideas for my post as well as trying to come up with a party giveaway. Both would have a Fall theme so I've been going through old magazines and books for inspiration.
Michael's already put out their Autumn things a few weeks ago although surprisingly they don't have as much Halloween out as they normally would by this time (or is it just me?)
I broke down during yesterday's visit and bought this year's first addition to my crow collection. How could I resist a glitter covered crow and I HAD to use that 40% off coupon for something! Plus, doesn't he look fab on this wire candelabra I found at the thrift store for $3? I think I should be truly inspired now and those ideas will start pouring out like warm cider and hot buttered rum any minute. And just in case you're dreaming of a Halloween Soiree in the woods like I am here are a few of my favorite inspirations from Country Living.

Hi Anna, I absolutely LOVE that glitter crow! What a find - I gotta hit Michael's, too. It's been awhile. :) I am dying over those inspiration photos from Country Living - especially the second one. It's making me giddy with excitement just looking at it! Theresa
I need some apple cider, or perhaps a pumpkin spice latte, after reading this one. Is it wrong that I am secretly wishing for the sweaters and jeans to come out??? I'm SO DONE with the heat/hot sun/garden/lawn mowing summer! {sigh} love this post!!!
Mmmmmm... Autumn... My favorite time of year! =D
What fun photos! I may have to run out & buy this issue of Country Living... ^-^
Apple cider & pumpkin anything sounds sooooo good... Mmmmm
I too am ready for sweaters & jeans! ^-^
To this post I say oh YAY!!! Halloween is my favoritest of holidays and those pictures make me feel like it is coming soon, even though it was like 110 degrees here today. I can't wait!
Wow Anna, this is amazing!!!! Oh, I hope you will do that challenge Alter It Monthly--you and I will have fun!!!
I'm so glad you like the yellow dress...It came out so bright, but I didn't know how to dim it...I tried 20 different ways...lol Looks like a lemon...lol
Sending hugs from New Orleans,
Cindy
OH I love the fall! What lovely pictures!!!!
Halloween is my favorite - I haven't really done much in years though. When my kids were young teens I had a house across the street from a tiny cemetary... I hung ghost from our trees and had body parts coming up from the ground and a giant glitter spider I made climbing the house...great memories! Thanks for jarring my brain.

Anna,
First of all, a big thanks for visiting my blog and leaving a comment. Moreover, it's always a pleasure to visit your blog. It feels like going home -- if that makes any sense... :)
In July, I finally read PRACTICAL MAGIC, so now I am thinking of participating in the big blog event. As I am currently having computer problems, I might have to wait and see if I can get ready in time.
I love magical realism in books and movies. My favorite books include GARDEN SPELLS, THE SUGAR QUEEN and THE GIRL WHO CHASED THE MOON. :)
Anyway, I am also already thinking of Halloween and just love your new crow. Thanks for sharing all that great stuff -- you rock! :)
Hugs,
Birgit
