What I learned from this project: January is not the best time to try pulp paper mache. It's been raining here for nearly 2 weeks and I think there's too much moisture in the air. These are still pretty moist. The only one that is nearly dry is the bottom half of the large cupcake because it's hollow. I painted it just to see what it would look like. So I'll let them dry out and see what happens at the end of the week. My son suggested making 'Hagrid's rock cakes' with the mini ones. I think that's not a bad idea.
